Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas detection installations. This role requires a combination of advanced technical expertise and excellent customer service skills. The role is dynamic and varied. With both on-site and remote work, the goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and safety standards. Maintenance and troubleshooting include performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of gas detection installations to ensure optimal performance. Diagnosing and quickly resolving technical problems to minimize downtime for customers. Accurate documentation by carefully filling out service reports and recording customer location data with attention to detail. Technical support by providing expert advice and support to the sales team on technical matters. Guiding customers on-site and over the phone in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems. Customer support by acting as a reliable advisor to customers to ensure their systems are maintained and function efficiently. Building strong relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term collaborations. Participation in our 24-hour emergency hotline service, approximately once every eight weeks, to address urgent technical problems. Identifying areas for improvement in service processes and proposing solutions to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
High-Level Job Requirements Experience (required) MS Office expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel. Demonstrated ability to think technically and commercially. Strong self-motivation and focus on tasks. Fluent in Dutch (speaking and writing). Experience (preferred) Reliability and initiative Analytical and solution-oriented approach Proactive attitude towards tasks and challenges Experience with SAP CRM software Knowledge of the petrochemical industry Proficiency in English (speaking and writing) Certification Basic safety (VCA) Education (mandatory) Technical education, preferably in electrical engineering (measurement and control technology).
