Quality Assurance Engineers at MRI collaborate with Product Management and Product Development teams to deliver high-quality, performant products.
They participate in documenting user stories and acceptance criteria, determine test methods and strategies, execute tests, and provide feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
Essential Skills and Competencies
Basic knowledge of software applications and testing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Database knowledge (able to write and execute SQL queries). Understanding of Agile practices Ability to write and execute test cases and scenarios. Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts Experience in testing software in a structured QA environment Ability to analyze software applications to verify that various products conform to stated requirements.
Responsibilities & Job Duties:
Execute test cases and scenarios (functional/integration/regression) and report test results. Assist in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria. Participate in team meetings (agile ceremonies). Log issues and system bugs with appropriate detail. Collaborate with QA engineers to identify functions and features that require test automation. Work closely with developers and product owners on the Product team to devise test cases and test plans. Analyze test results for accuracy and compliance Refine existing QA processes, tools, and testing infrastructure. Determine testing plan, priority, and scope for each development iteration. Develop appropriate regression plans for the releases Write SQL statements to assist in testing requirements. Develop automated scripts based on features of specific applications. Coach junior team members. Participate in the creation, development, and maintenance of test strategies. Research QA solutions and/or tools that provide value to MRI Software. Evaluate and enhance standards, technologies, and approaches in conjunction with senior team members. Execute security test cases as identified.
