You will be the go-to specialist for rail infrastructure within the Rail & Steam workshops, you will lead the section's infrastructure projects and contribute to maintenance, preservation, and restoration projects within the section under the guidance of the Head of Collection Workshops and working closely with the Senior Workshop Engineer Rail & Steam. This is a unique opportunity to work in a distinctive setting, contributing to the preservation of New Zealand's railway heritage.

This is a 40-hour working week, working Monday to Thursday, 10 hour days, fixed term for 2 years. There is some flexibility in the working hours to allow for later hours on Tuesday to accommodate Rail Workshop open hours.
