Dot Net Fullstack Developer - Vice President - Software Engineering

We're seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a Dot Net Full stack Developer, in Workforce Technology & Services to help drive program automation and strategy.

Technically strong engineer who enjoys working across the full stack. You'll design, implement, and maintain microservices and front-end modules and libraries that interact through a unified API gateway. The ideal candidate writes maintainable, scalable code and thinks ahead to build flexible, reusable systems.

This is a Lead Software Engineer, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Develop and maintain backend services in C#.NET and Python FastAPI.
  • Work on API Gateway logic, authentication, and routing using Ocelot or YARP.
  • Build and enhance Angular applications using modern UI libraries.
  • Contribute to containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with peers, ensuring code quality and best practices.
  • Integrate with authentication and data services using secure patterns.
  • Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Explore opportunities to bring AI-assisted capabilities into the ecosystem

Technical Environment

  • Backend: C#.NET, Python FastAPI
  • Frontend: Angular, Angular Material, TailwindCSS, DaisyUI, HTML, CSS, API Gateway
  • Authentication: OIDC-based mechanisms
  • Databases: MS SQL, MongoDB
  • DevOps: Jenkins, Docker
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Python

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Overall total 12+ years of professional experience.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • B.S. Degree preferred
  • Excellent communications skills in English, both verbally and written.
  • Self-starter with good interpersonal skills to facilitate working with end-users and other IT colleagues.
  • Professional ownership of issues
  • Good organizational skill; Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in a support environment
  • Strong sense of commitment and drive towards problem resolution
  • Use of initiative and proactive approach to work
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Maturity to be able to execute job functions with minimal guidance
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly and operate in a face paced environment
  • Familiarity tracking and working using agile concepts such as Kanban/Scrum

Required Technical skill

  • Strong foundation in .NET Core and Python microservices development.
  • Solid knowledge of frontend frameworks, preferably Angular.
  • Responsive UI design.
  • Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD tools.
  • Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Exposure to enterprise or IT operations environments is a plus.
  • Exposure to Message Queueing technologies such as Kafka/ PubSub is a plus.
