Operations Division Associate

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is a professional position at Associate within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

• Ensuring client positions and valuations are accurate, correct requirements are being charged in accordance with the clients' strategy and margin policy.
• Understanding the day-to-day client portfolio movements and products traded.
• Analysing client portfolios and working closely with Business Unit on providing Sales with tailored margin policy for clients.
• Performing extensive exposure analysis across the client base.
• Performing simulations of hypothetical scenarios such as new trades, margin policy changes, etc.
• Managing and highlighting operational risk in the margin process.
• Working extensively with Credit, Risk Management, Account Managers and Technology to build and maintain a controlled & commercial business that leverages the strengths of all our people.
• Identifying system gaps and working with Technology on enhancements and testing.
• Driving forward the significant change agenda in collaboration with peers in Bangalore Margin teams. All degree disciplines are considered. Operations candidates with experience in processing margin, credit and collateral are strongly preferred.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Solid knowledge in operational product lifecycle.
• Understanding of equities and derivatives such as options, accumulators, decumulators, etc.
• Effective communication skills, strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail, diligence, risk management capabilities and a control mind-set.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Proficiency in current productivity and Microsoft Office tools
• At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
