Supervisor Anesthesia Services performs a wide range of duties including coordinating inventory of anesthesia specific medications and ordering of medical supplies and equipment. Supervises day-to-day operations in anesthetizing sites, managing and understanding departmental workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks and effective follow-through on requests. Works with guides and directs Anesthesia Technicians in all aspects of anesthesia supply inventory control, professional communication, anesthesia cart management, medication stock management, and utilization of medical supplies and movable anesthesia equipment within Monument Health. Maintains working knowledge of anesthesia processes according to JCAHO. Monitors operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement processes for improvements to maximize efficiency while minimizing quality issues and feedback. Promotes organizational and departmental goals and objectives in accordance with established policies and procedures. Demonstrates ongoing growth and development of self through active self-reflection, personal competency development strategies, and role modeling the "Grow myself, grow my team, and grow Monument Health (G3) Leadership Competencies" to promote the Monument Health vision and mission.

Education - High School Diploma/GED in General Studies
Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer

Certification – Auto Transfusion (Cell Saver) Training
Work Experience - 3+ years Anesthesia Monitoring Technician experience
Scheduling Requirements: Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.Physical Requirements: Medium work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-66% of the time), and or up to 50 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
