Job Opportunity At Northern Montana Hospital

The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window. Specialties of our active staff of doctors include Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Hematology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Pain Management, Pathology, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, Radiology and Women's Health. About the Role

Entry level social work position, working under the supervision of a facility social worker, or supervised by the administrator with regular consultation from a degreed social worker. You are to provide medically related social services and discharge planning to residents in order to attain or maintain the optimum physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school with at least three years' experience working with older adults, and at least one year working in long-term care. College course work in sociology, psychology, gerontology, social work designee certification may be substituted for up to two years' experience. Candidates should be able to work effectively with professional and allied personnel as well as related services and agencies. Basic knowledge and skills in counseling. Must be organized and proficient in completing documentation. Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with a culturally diverse population in a non-judgmental and therapeutic manner. Salary is commensurate with up to 15 years of experience.
