Day Services: Day Services participants explore their communities by visiting and volunteering at venues such as parks, zoos, and museums. Take part in these events with clients that give them the opportunity to enjoy a full, rewarding day!

Schedules:

Day Services: 1pm-9pm

Group Homes: 8am-4pm, 4pm-midnight, or midnight-8am

Responsibilities Include:

Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities

Create a supportive and clean home environment

Support skill acquisition and enhancement as outlined in individual service plans (ISPs)

Participate in the development and positive implementation of ISPs

Implement Behavior Support Plans, Replacement Behavior Trials and reinforcement plans consistently, continuously and as written across all environments

Provide positive behavioral supports according to individual BSPs and provide positive reinforcement when individuals engage in socially appropriate behavior

Assist the individuals in planning and participating in community activities on a regular basis

Provide transportation to clients for daily activities utilizing personal vehicle as directed

Participate in incident debriefing to determine factors leading to behavior and development of appropriate staff interactions

Model appropriate behavior and interactions with individuals

Assist with daily living tasks and ensure cleanliness and organization

Administer medications and follow healthcare protocols under nurse supervision

Document client progress and goals

Engage individuals in age-appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities

This requires staff to be attentive to individuals and the environment at all times

Safely transport individuals as needed

Collaborate with co-workers to enhance growth

Participate in ongoing professional training

Other duties as assigned

General Qualifications:

Valid auto insurance and driver's license preferred

Reliable transportation required

Candidates must undergo background checks as part of the hiring process

Be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more 1% - 33% of the time

Be able to stand and walk 67% - 100% of the time
