Custodian I - Part Time in Culinary Services
Culinary Services is looking for motivated team members who are excited to actively participate in the ever changing world of the high-paced food industry. This is a part-time position. Part-time employees work up to 16 hours a week, enjoy flexibility in their schedule and are eligible to receive holiday pay and annual & sick leave pay on a prorated basis.
Position Overview:
Custodians provide cleaning and maintenance services in and around CS areas. The primary emphasis is on cleaning the public areas which include restrooms, carpeted and hard-surface floor care, kitchens, trash removal, furniture set-ups and other related duties. Custodians may work individually or on a team. This position is asked to interact in a positive manner with all guests to accomplish the department mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all public and common areas. To include: restrooms, service areas, stairwells, etc.
- Carpeted and hard-surface floor care
- Trash removal
- Set up and tear down of areas such as conference spaces/seating spaces/public spaces dependent on facility
- Move and straighten furniture, light food service equipment, dishes, glasses etc
- May shovel snow at entry ways
- Other related custodial duties
- Actively participates as part of the team while performing other duties in support of the department's mission.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience working in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, etc.
- Experience working effectively with minimal or no supervision.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience providing excellent customer service.
- Certifications, classes completed, or knowledge of safety procedures utilized in a custodial, janitorial or housekeeping position.

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information:
- This is a part-time, non-benefited position. We will work with your schedule. Hours are up to 16 hours/week.
- Occasional work outside and in inclement weather assisting with snow removal.
- Possess a 4-hour sanitation certification or have the ability to become certified.
- Some custodial positions require a valid State of Montana driver's license. If offered one of those positions, that requirement will be discussed with you prior to hire.

Physical Demands:
- Stationary or moving about for extended periods of time
- Frequently moving, transporting and placing containers/objects up to 30 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Moving up and down stairs occasionally while carrying containers/objects
- Moving up and down a step ladder
- Bending, kneeling, stretching and general moving about while stocking products
- Gripping handles on equipment
- Performing repetitive motions related to job duties
- Regular exposure to cleaning solutions
- Occasionally shovel snow
