Senior Cloud Engineer - GCP (f/m/n)

We're building a Cloud Center of Excellence that owns the cloud foundation for the entire engineering organization. You'll design the architecture, automation, and governance that other teams build on - not just deploy workloads, but define how workloads get deployed. If you think about infrastructure as a product and want real ownership over cloud strategy, this is that role. What You'll do: Design and implement a cloud-native platform architecture on GCP. Build scalable guardrails for multi-team, multi-environment setups with compliance requirements. Create reusable infrastructure that enables self-service provisioning. Define cloud governance: IAM strategies, organizational policies, policy-as-code. Write design documents and represent technical divisions in cross-team and leadership forums.

What we're looking for: Strong hands-on experience with GCP (AWS/Azure background is complementary but not a substitute). Production Kubernetes experience - networking, security, tenancy, lifecycle management. Terraform at the module-authoring level, not just the consumer level. Solid networking fundamentals: VPC design, CIDR planning, DNS, hybrid connectivity. Experience working in compliance-driven environments (SOC2, PCI-DSS, or similar). GitOps methodology and tooling. Observability stack experience (metrics, structured logging, tracing). Clear technical communication - you can write a design doc and defend it.

You build patterns that scale and enable others, rather than solving things one-off. You know how to get buy-in across teams and navigate the human side of platform work. You raise the technical bar for the people around you.
