You are responsible for the company's legal activities in a region, business units and/or sub-function areas in the country or across multiple countries. To support commercial and corporate initiatives, you identify business needs and design and implement our legal strategy through the service delivery model. You advise the business on risk, anticipating and addressing internal and external factors and apply your legal specialty area experience to collaborate with other legal colleagues to address legal issues or concerns.

How you will contribute

You will develop and ensure the implementation of legal strategies to enable Mondelēz International to compete aggressively, and protect our people, assets and reputation while complying with legal requirements and standards of ethical conduct. You will provide guidance and support to ensure managers are making reasonable and informed decisions regarding legal risks; manage the legal strategy with outside counsel, including spending without compromising financial and reputational risk; and provide in-house and external legal expertise to address the increasingly complex legal environment by partnering with business units, regions and global stakeholders to identify and advise on applicable laws and regulatory changes for a given country and/or across multiple countries.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourcefulness, including relevant new technologies and systems

What you need to know about this position:

We are looking for a person to act as Legal Advisor, with a focus on Supply Chain and Operations, in a position of substitution and high impact.

It is a consultative, hands-on and relational chair, for someone who knows how to balance solid legal reading with execution, active listening and influence.

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic legal partner of the Supply Chain and Operations areas, with active presence in the day to day of the business
  • Conduct end-to-end operational and commercial contracts, from initial consultation to signing, ensuring fluidity and pragmatism
  • Exercise active listening with internal stakeholders, understanding the context before responding legally
  • Build and maintain trust relationships with peers, leadership and partner areas, avoiding frictions and rework
  • Support topics related to:
    • Logistics, warehousing, carriers and warehouses
    • External manufacturing / co-manufacturing
    • Operational incidents, accidents and interface with insurers
    • Environmental Law issues, in partnership with HSE
  • Act in an integrated way with:
    • Purchasing, CS&L, Planning and plant leadership
    • Quality, CGA and HSE
    • Regional Legal LATAM and Global Law
  • Manage the interface with external offices, including scope, performance and budget
  • Act with autonomy and a sense of priority, ensuring that demands do not "bounce"
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of processes, contractual governance and ways of working of the legal department

Requirements

  • Higher education in Law - active OAB
  • Advanced English (frequent use in day to day)
  • Previous experience in:
    • Commercial contracts
    • Dynamic corporate environments
    • Interface with operational and business areas
  • Experience in consumer goods / FMCG companies or high operational complexity environments
  • Consultative profile, hands-on and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Ease in building relationships and negotiating with multiple stakeholders
  • Clear, objective and collaborative communication

The position is based in São Paulo, SP.
