Role Overview:
The HSE Project Engineer will act as the representative of HSE Department in projects, connected, but not limited to automation, PSM, Machine guarding and LOTO and any others, which require strong HSE support. This role ensures that all stages of the projects are following HSE requirements of HSE8-MoC and IIM. Develop all required documentations and reports during the project stages. Ensure all design and installation activities are aligned with MDLZ HSE standards and legal requirements.
Main responsibilities include:
- Represent HSE department during all duration of the projects;
- Ensure HSE requirements are included in the design of equipment and followed during all stages of the projects;
- Develop all necessary documents, connected with HSE requirements, following Management of Change and IIM process;
- Provide guidance and support to the project team for any topics, connected with HSE;
- Identify hazards and define controls, conduct safety audits, develop safety policies,
- Provide safety trainings, investigate incidents, and collaborate with other professionals to create solutions for safety challenges.
- Review documents, provided by supplier.
- Participate at FAT and SAT and provide relevant assessments.
- Identify HSE gaps and ensure their elimination before hand-over of the project.
- Coordinate contractors activities during installations on site to ensure all relevant permits are issued and HSE requirements are followed and installations comply with equipment design specification.
- Approve by signature completion of every stage of MoC process.
The role will take lead on developing roadmap for future HSE projects by collecting information using different sources, making analysis and define solutions.
Part of the responsibilities will be as well support implementation of Mondelez HSE standards, in terms of implementation of technical requirements and identifying needs of improvement for existing equipment and processes.
The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Contractors etc.) to drive HSE excellence throughout the project lifecycle and as well to be part of the plant HSE team driving and supporting daily HSE agenda.
More about this role:
- HSE representative for projects, providing expertise and guidance on HSE requirements.
- Develop risk assessment for every stage of the project and provide to project lead relevant information.
- Ensure HSE requirements are integrated into equipment design and processes.
- Assess project deliverables to identify potential HSE risks and propose preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering and to align solutions with HSE standards.
- Support validation and qualification activities for systems and equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned from previous projects.
- Support developing operational documentation for the projects- Instructions, OPLs, Safety and LOTO maps etc.
- Ensure compliance with corporate HSE standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide safety trainings for internal and external teams.
- Control and coordinate contractors' activities following HSE7-Contractors management and PS3-Permit to work standards, to ensure they are following HSE requirements during installation works on site.
- Take part in FMEA, FAT, SAT and develop required reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in HSE Management,
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing projects.
- Knowledge in automation standards, and regulatory requirements, relevant to the industry.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and promote a safety mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to articulate safety instructions and findings.
- Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and investigations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
