✨ About The Role
- Responsible for owning and designing spacecraft electrical subsystems, including power management hardware, battery packs, sensors, control modules, and communication hubs
- Design, test, and build spacecraft bus system power management modules, including PCBA schematic capture, simulation, layout, and contract manufacturing
- Manage design documentation between different configurations, builds, and programs
- Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and Chief Engineer to design and implement Avionics processes and best practices
- Perform PCB schematic capture and layout, and assist in developing test plans for flight qualification of avionics
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced electrical engineer with 5+ years in electronics design, particularly in spacecraft or mobile electronic platforms
- Proficient in power management hardware design in both analog and digital architectures
- Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis of hardware in complex systems
- Familiar with transitioning products from R&D to manufacturable and repeatable products
- Comfortable working with different serial communication protocols and physical layers, including I2C, UART, CAN, and RS-422/485
