Programs And Services Coordinator (App. D/Temp. Assignment: Sept. 2025 - April 2027)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours/week (flexible working hours are required, including evenings and weekends)
Home Campus: Stoney Creek (hybrid work arrangements available – in-person 4 days/week)
Rate of Pay: Payband G (Start Rate: $33.55 per hour, plus 8% in lieu of vacation and benefits)
Reporting to the Director, Student Success & Engagement, the Programs & Services Coordinator, Student Life will support the ongoing development and implementation of the business priorities as set out in the Student Life business plan as it relates to student leadership development, co-curricular engagement and orientation & transition. The incumbent will use current research and best practices in student affairs, student development, and universal design for learning to facilitate programming that supports learning outcomes related to student success in these areas and the continued cultivation of a strong student engagement and student leader culture college-wide.
At the Stoney Creek campus, the incumbent will take the lead on camper relations for the MoCrew Student Leadership Camp, coordinating and delivering apprenticeship and post-secondary orientation, transition, and engagement programming, and support the Gathering place to ensure office coverage and positive coordination of the space.
This position supports campus tour programming; supports Campus to Community volunteer opportunities; supports campus specific events and awareness weeks; and coordinates Student Life Services including but not limited to student housing help, volunteer opportunity promotion, posting and general information provision.

What You'll Be Doing
Program Support
- Providing co-curricular opportunities and consistently working to enhance student and staff/faculty engagement with the Co-Curricular Record.
- Coordinating experiential learning opportunities for Student Leaders.
- Supporting Student Life's overall leadership development strategy for the Student Leadership Development Series and the MoCrew Student Leadership Camp.
- In collaboration with the Student Development Coordinator, coordinating and delivering high quality orientation activities each term, Get Ready for Training Nights for incoming Apprenticeship students throughout the academic year, as well as transition programming for new students.
- Collaborating to coordinate and implement a student communications plan for Student Life initiatives, which includes a focus on Student Leader/MoCrew engagement.
- Acting as campus liaison for the Celebration of Learning.
- Coordinating Student Life services including but not limited to: student housing help, volunteer opportunity promotion, posting, general information, providing transportation information, supporting Student Appreciation Days, supporting and awareness weeks.
- Adhering to principles of universal design for learning and demonstrating understanding of intercultural competencies, commitment to equity an inclusion, and compliance with AODA guidelines.
- Organizing and implementing events and programs for all campuses in line with learning outcomes.
- Engaging student staff and volunteers in Student Life programs and activities and providing functional guidance.
- Collaborating with marketing and other internal/external stakeholders to produce event and marketing collateral.
- Assists with conducting regular needs assessments to evaluate student offerings; makes recommendations for changes/improvements.
- Events and programs include but are not limited to: Open House, MoCrew Student Leadership Development Program, Celebration of Learning, Orientation, Student Leadership Development Series, Destination College, International Education Week, Co-Curricular Record promotion and enhancement.
- Providing functional guidance to student staff, including CSEP students.
- Supporting ongoing updating of the Student Life website and relevant campus Facebook and Instagram pages.
Reporting
- Provides post-event reports for all regular Student Life events and initiatives.
- Captures details of each planned event including attendance, marketing, planning time and direct student feedback.
- Reports and documents statistical information from all initiatives.
- Provides input into post event/program debriefs to enhance student experience.
Takes the Lead on:
- Facilitating Co-Curricular record engagement at all campuses.
- Facilitating MSLA camper application and selection processes.
- Coordinating and delivering apprenticeship and post-secondary orientation and engagement programming.
- Supporting campus tour programming.
- Working with stakeholders to coordinate use of the Gathering Place staff to ensure office coverage and positive coordination of the space.
- Coordinating displays and vendors to ensure public awareness and wellness campaigns are represented in The Gathering Place.
- Support student volunteer opportunities.
- Student Appreciation Day lead support.
- Holiday Hampers lead for Stoney Creek Campus.
- Asset Tracking (IT/Equipment) for Student Life at Stoney Creek.
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Minimum three-year post-secondary diploma/degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Event and Volunteer Management, Human Services or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working in the field of Student Affairs, Student Development (including student leadership, orientation and transition, peer mentoring) or Volunteer Management in a post-secondary environment, with intercultural, diverse populations.
- Experience working independently and solving a wide range of problems. This position requires the ability to work under pressure, handle several projects at once and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license.
