- Design and build distributed services with high test coverage, performance, availability, and observability to power Ro's end-to-end healthcare platform
- Contribute to building the team's architectural vision and technical roadmap
- Collaborate on code reviews and technical design documents to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- Work closely with product, design, data, and other stakeholders to create the best possible experiences for providers, pharmacists, and patients

- Experienced backend engineer with a strong background in designing and building scalable web applications and distributed systems
- Proficient in Python with 5-7 years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical roadmaps
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to refine ambiguous problems
- Bonus skills include service design and architecture experience, proficiency with FastAPI, and experience with event-driven architectures
