Vision Engineer

Job Title

This individual is expected to execute vision engineering tasks under the direction of a Vision Senior Project Engineer. This individual is expected to provide Machine Vision support, including system configuration, configuration testing, issue tracking, phone support, documentation, presentations, CAD drawings, training, system evaluations and assessments. This individual is expected to solve complex engineering problems and provide guidance to less experienced people. This individual is expected to lead Machine Vision related deployment activities. This individual would be capable of planning and executing site improvements, proposing, planning and executing site upgrades, and planning and executing product program changes.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Initiates Machine Vision design improvements.
• Deploys, installs, configures and integrates and tunes machine vision systems.
• Debugs systems and can generate communication drivers and communication methods to existing equipment and systems.
• Coordinates needed support resources to achieve project objective(s).
• Coordinate the activities associated with machine vision, coordinating cross functional requirements of a small group of Engineers / Designers.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ year of experience with Machine Vision Systems
• Experience working with Matrox or Cognex (matrox HIGHLY preferred)
• Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs
• Certified by the AIA as a Machine Vision Professional
