A day in the life:
Monitor changes in HR legislation and make recommendations to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Lead international employment expansion efforts including developing new policies and partnering with international counsel.
Manage the company's global immigration program.
Partner widely to ensure compliance with federal affirmative action plan requirements.
Collaborate with legal counsel and other internal stakeholders to manage and respond to escalated HR-related legal issues.
Ensure all annual compliance reporting obligations are fulfilled.
Oversee background check processes and escalation.
Ensure all annual compliance training obligations are met. This may include partnering with vendors to implement, create content, track completion records, and more.
Provide guidance and training to HR staff and other stakeholders on compliance issues and best practices.
Manage our external leave administrator to ensure a positive associate experience and compliance with FMLA and paid leaves of absence offerings while navigating the ever-changing state and local leave law landscape.
Project manage a variety of HR initiatives via partnership with embedded HR operations and centralized HR teams to help successfully drive HR and business goals.
Necessary qualifications:
10-15 years of experience in HR with progressive manager level experience required
Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across our business
A confident, influential communicator and presenter
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Superior project management and time management skills
Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
