Qc Laboratory Support Technician

As a QC Laboratory Support Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on supporting QC Laboratory Operations. Your role will involve managing analytical testing samples, backups, standards, assay controls, laboratory reagents, and other inventory management tasks. You will facilitate laboratory operations by providing essential support that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Please note, this position does not involve hands-on testing of product samples.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with laboratory analysts to ensure all required supplies are available prior to testing initiation.
  • Utilize various information management systems to manage inventory and logistics for samples, standards, assay controls, critical reagents, and consumables.
  • Support laboratory analysts with non-billable activities including glassware handling, labeling, waste management, and laboratory inspections.
  • Assist in creating and monitoring purchase requisitions and orders to fulfill laboratory inventory requirements.
  • Collect, wash, and redistribute laboratory glassware.
  • Manage transport of laboratory waste to designated EHS drop-off areas.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks within the laboratory as appropriate.
  • Provide additional laboratory support duties as necessary to meet departmental goals.

Essential Skills:

  • Quality assurance and quality control experience.
  • Experience in GMP/GLP within a laboratory or pharmacy technician setting.
  • Sample preparation and management skills.
  • Lab preparation expertise.
  • Attention to detail for cleaning glassware and documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; Associate's or STEM degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a GLP/GMP lab or GMP manufacturing facility in a lab or quality role.
  • Experience in a cGMP Quality Control laboratory is a plus.
  • Proficiency with sample labeling and inventory management systems is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of GMP regulations and cGMP practices.

Work Environment:

This position operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role requires comfort in using computers and various systems, including software and Excel. The environment supports a contract-to-hire opportunity contingent on performance.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
