As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will interpret customer and Project Engineer input to define functional and system design requirements. You will integrate carrier and machinery parameters into efficient layouts, ensuring safe distances and structural coordination. Your role will involve incorporating carrier clearance studies to maintain safe access and serviceability around equipment and guarding. You will create installation-ready drawings, including demo and phasing visuals when needed. Supporting production releases, shipping schedules, and installation planning to ensure alignment is also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will generate system design outputs such as cycle time studies, chain pulls, device layouts, and sequences of operations. Ensuring CAD drawings meet customer standards and coordinating cross-reference files with other suppliers is crucial. You will collaborate with Controls Engineers to place electrical devices accurately in layouts and conduct site visits to validate field conditions and assist with installation.
