The National Data Planning team is accountable for managing capacity for the national data network infrastructure. A Lead Planner on this team is a subject matter expert primarily responsible for working with other planners to formulate projects to procure and install ethernet switch and IP routing telecommunications and information technology hardware, software, and connections to meet demand for data network growth and support new products. The Lead Planner also supports the optimization and right-sizing of legacy networks as older services diminish in favor of newer products.
This is a work from home position within the U.S.
Excellent critical thinking and complex analysis skills. High attention to detail; able to quickly learn new systems, applications, and processes. Group leader or supervisory experience within a technical engineering, operations, provisioning, or project management team. Extensive technical knowledge of LAN/WAN internetworking technologies at the service provider level; ability to apply experience with Transport equipment, Ethernet switches, and/or IP routers to perform daily planning tasks. Excellent organizational and time management skills; capable of organizing and managing multiple complex assignments simultaneously, on schedule and within budget. Must be willing and able to work both individually and within a team environment to complete projects. Highly responsive and able to communicate across various levels of the business. Highly proficient in PC software and office applications. Flexibility to work outside of "normal" business hours when needed to meet deadlines. Project management experience. Bachelor of Science or higher degree; 10+ years' networking experience and at least one active professional or technical certification. Data analytics and/or database administration skills are a plus.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges: $103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
