IT Engineer
The IT Engineer supports end users for computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues at the most technical and complex level. Additionally, this position is responsible for infrastructure planning, design, installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations as well as any day-to-day infrastructure issues. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office and three days remote. However, additional in-office days may be required based on business needs. The role is based out of our Kansas City, MO location: 550 East 13th Avenue, North Kansas City, MO 64116.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hands on and remote assistance to all BBG locations.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, researches, and resolves the most complex technical problems related to any computer, application, or infrastructure related issues.
- Documents and tracks the problem and resolution.
- Trains and supports less experienced Help Desk Associates on more complex desktop and infrastructure issues.
- Serves as subject matter expert on software or infrastructure area by thoroughly understanding subject area.
- Creates and updates the process(es), trains coworkers, managers, and users, liaises with outside vendors related to the specific area(s) of expertise.
- Work with Sr. IT Staff to solve problems and helps to influence direction for desktop and infrastructure related issues.
- Participation in after-hours emergency support for operations conducted between 6pm and 8am weekdays, and any time on Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience systems, voice, data, IT security role or a related field.
- Demonstrated technical mastery for desktop and server related issues (Windows Server 2019/2022 Windows 11, TCP/IP, Power & Cooling, confident in working in data center, MDF & IDF's).
- Basic understanding and ability to execute PowerShell commands.
- A/V Troubleshooting Experience.
- SCCM, Intune, MDM experience, Apple and Android experience a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple end-user support and development requests effectively.
- MFA Admin experience.
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Analytic, Organizational and Reporting skills.
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with a wide range of temperatures.
- Comfortable working in heights.
