The Food Service Worker Lead at Chillicothe Correctional Center oversees inmates to ensure that meals and food items are prepared in accordance with production plans. In this role, you will train workers in methods of performing duties, as well as assign and coordinate work to promote the efficiency of operations. This person is also responsible for the sanitation of the facility and maintaining personal safety by conforming to all standards and regulations. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Job responsibilities include leading all aspects of food preparation, coordinating and assisting in setting up and breaking down stations, cooking and preparing foods according to recipes, and maintaining a clean work station. The role also requires cross-training in areas as needed, working in concessions, catering, and special events, and performing tasks as requested by a manager. This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The Food Service Worker Lead should have great customer service and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and supervisory skills, ability to work in a team environment, Serve Safe Certification, and food service experience.
