Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician will support the electrical and mechanical department by troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment using electrical or mechanical prints. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and will be self-motivated and collaborative. Responsibilities include traveling to customer sites to troubleshoot existing equipment and potentially support the installation of new equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and repair existing equipment.
• Support the installation of new equipment as needed.
• Work with electrical and mechanical prints to service technical equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude.

Essential Skills:

• 0-3 years experience in the controls industry.
• Proven field service experience.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems working with up to 480VAC to 24VDC.
• Experience with electrical motors, primarily 208/230 240 and 480 VAC.
• PLC knowledge, including working with Schneider Electric, Automation Direct.
• Two-year technical degree.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work under minimal supervision as well as in a group setting.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Experience in customer service.
• Basic computer skills; IT knowledge is a plus.
• Display a positive, professional attitude and high level of productivity.

Work Environment:

The position requires working in the office when not traveling. The role involves collaborating with the team on panel and custom applications and supporting installs. The work schedule is Tuesday to Friday from 5:30 am to 4 pm, with Monday being an optional shift. The position requires 25% on-site work and up to 75% travel, including domestic and potential international travel to Canada or Mexico after the contract period. A valid passport is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
