As an application engineer, you will play a critical role in planning, organizing, managing, and monitoring building automation controls projects. You will be responsible for producing detailed diagrams for automation systems and supporting project managers by making necessary adjustments to ensure successful project completion. Your technical expertise will be invaluable in advising internal teams and ensuring timely project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage building automation controls projects.
• Produce detailed diagrams for automation systems.
• Assist project managers in overseeing various projects.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
• Advise internal teams using technical expertise.
• Collaborate with project managers, salespeople, and assigned project staff.
• Ensure timely completion of projects by interacting closely with field personnel, contractors, and internal teams.

Essential Skills:

• 6-10 years of industry experience in HVAC, building automation, or industrial automation.
• Previous experience in electrical design using AutoCAD.
• Understanding of building controls design requirements.
• Engineering experience in layouts, component selection/wire selection, programming, project management, and designing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of various types of HVAC systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience with Revit.
• Computer networking skills.
• OSHA 10 Certification.

Work Environment:

The position is on-site, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times. Occasional travel is required, approximately 3-4 times a year, to meet with subcontractors or conduct design reviews with clients. Travel will not extend beyond a couple of days at a time.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Earth City, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
