Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Sales Coordinator to join our growing team in Gaborone, Botswana. In this role, you will be the backbone of our sales operations, supporting our sales team in achieving ambitious targets while maintaining exceptional client relationships. As a Sales Coordinator, you will combine administrative excellence with sales enthusiasm, ensuring seamless communication between clients, internal teams, and leadership. - Support the sales team in developing and maintaining detailed client databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on potential revenues and account priorities
- Process all sales-related paperwork efficiently, including contracts, proposals, letters, emails, and reports, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products, services, and competitive offerings, and effectively communicate this information to support the sales team's efforts
- Coordinate client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows, handling logistics and ensuring smooth execution
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, performance metrics, and action plans, providing analytical insights to support decision-making
- Assist in identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base
- Liaise effectively with operational departments including Front Office, Reservations, and Events to ensure accurate delivery of client promises
- Manage sales-specific software, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Property Management Systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office tools with proficiency
- Support the establishment and execution of promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives using client databases
- Provide proactive, professional, and friendly assistance to all clients and internal stakeholders
- Monitor and control departmental expenses, adhering to approval procedures and budget guidelines
- Participate in professional development activities to strengthen financial literacy, negotiation skills, and sales knowledge
- Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and innovative solutions that enhance sales effectiveness
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a sales support, administrative, or customer service role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems or sales databases
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic financial literacy and understanding of sales metrics and reporting
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism, or service industry
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Sales certification or formal sales training
- Experience coordinating events or client meetings
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape analysis
- Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management
- Multilingual abilities (particularly local languages)
- Demonstrated track record of supporting sales teams in achieving targets
