IT Operations Analyst - Management Analyst 2
The IT Operations Analyst provides high-level executive administrative management and advanced professional organization to ensure efficient and effective operations for the Information Technology Solutions Department. This position works closely with the Vice President – IT, Director of Educational Technology, and Director of Technology Operations to analyze, develop, improve and implement operational systems and workflows, technology policies, and manage administrative functions of the department such as budgeting, inventory (software and hardware) management, and project-based work to optimize efficiency, manage operational costs, and document departmental standard operating procedures for sustainable operations. This position acts as subject matter expert to provide evaluation, coordination and methodology for the organizational management of the operations, projects and recordkeeping for the IT Solutions Team.
Position responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage key processes and organizational duties for the financial, inventory, and project operations of the Information Technology Solutions Team
- Collect, analyze, develop and provide data, reports and policies to optimize departmental operations including managing all records and data for the Information Technology Solutions team.
Minimum qualifications include:
- One-year providing executive level administrative, data management analysis, or related duties
- Demonstrated experience in establishing standard operating procedure documentation, streamlining work procedures, analyzing project management processes for efficiency, and continually identifying and improving systems.
- Demonstrated skill in developing, implementing, and revising administrative and program policies, procedures and service standards.
- Ability to provide consistent customer service to identify needs, meet quality standards, evaluate satisfaction, and gather information tactfully while sometimes navigating difficult situations.
- Demonstrated advanced ability to use standardized office software to facilitate functions of the job including Microsoft Excel analysis, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced skills collecting, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing data including the ability to work with complex data sets, maintain data quality, and engage in data validation exercises.
- Strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to present issues clearly and concisely to a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience with budget development, business acumen and strong organization and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Two-year degree.
- More than three years of experience working in information technology.
- Related professional certifications (e.g. Office365, Project Management, ITIL).
- Progressive experience providing executive level administrative support, data management or related field aligned to this position.
- Experience working within Minnesota State or working with higher education data.
- Experience organizing, conducting, and participating in meetings with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and community stakeholders to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Working knowledge of vendor agreements, payment processes, and government funding.
This position requires successful completion of employment references and a driver's license background check. Work shift is Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. Telework is available in a hybrid work environment.
