This position provides administrative leadership for the Police Training & Education Division and the Liberal Arts and Sciences Division. It also serves as the Director of Belonging and Civic Engagement Initiatives. The position is part of the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) unit.
Deans are responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing policies, procedures, and practices that align with college/system requirements. Specific responsibilities include responding to student issues, program review, faculty evaluations, and divisional operations. The position works closely with faculty and the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs to foster relationships with the community, other institutions, and local and regional law enforcement agencies.
Deans of Educational Services contribute to student affairs and serve as members of the President's Leadership Council (PLC). PLC members are expected to communicate widely in their divisions and assigned areas and promote a culture of respect and innovation.
