Seagate Wafer Operations Photolithography Process Engineering Internship

Seagate's Wafer Operations Photolithography Process Engineering organization is seeking an Engineering Intern to conduct trials and participate in continuous improvement projects during summer 2026. This position will be located in Seagate's Bloomington, MN facility.

About the role - you will:

  • Develop technical understanding of one or more Photolithography process tools used in the wafer manufacturing process, as well as the process responses
  • Perform process trials, working in a cleanroom environment to complete product trials and process improvements for Seagate's recording head products
  • Utilize software tools as needed for data analysis and presentation to complete projects and assist Photo engineers

About you:

  • Interest in nano-fabrication processes/operations
  • Statistics and Data Analysis experience using MatLab, R, Excel, JMP, or Python
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed

Your experience includes:

  • Completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Material Science and enrolled in Fall 2026 classes

Location: Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate. The estimated base wage range for this position is $22-$36/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
