This is a full-time position (30 hours/week) for an individual or two distinct part-time positions for two people. Property management and caretaker for a single individual would be a 30-hour a week job - eligible for full-time benefits. Alternatively, it could be two distinct part-time positions for a couple! The employee(s) would live together on-site, with heavily discounted rent in one unit, and either both roles and responsibilities would be done by one person or split between two people; one acting as caretaker (10 hours a week @ $15.00/hour), the other a property manager (20 hours a week @ $25.00/hour). The property management role includes all office work, leasing, processing applications, rent collections, accounting duties, monitoring any contractors working on the property, and resident customer service. The caretaker role includes light to medium maintenance, caretaker/cleaner duties, inside (common areas) and outside; including seasonal light landscaping and sidewalk shoveling/salting/sanding. Splitting the duties is sometimes a perfect arrangement for seniors or young families looking to avoid daycare costs by working alternate schedules.
