The purpose of the project is to build a functional version of this device that can demonstrate feasibility in deployment during a bench test. This would include developing a device with materials that are biocompatible, creating a more accurate bench test, and developing a method for inflating the device in the aorta. Engineering 3D CAD Design Services and Labor ($5K in budget) Price is based on 200 hours at $25/hr of work to deliver a medical device for the project. This part-time R&D help, specifically in the engineering 3D CAD design services and labor areas, is critical to the success of the project. Specific experience in design, testing, 3D Printing, design of experiments, and simulation are required along with a BS Mechanical Eng degree. This educational background fits well to the project along with knowledge of the medical area. Main job requirements include working with a pulsatile flow loop, running simulations, designing and 3D printing prototypes, and collaborating with physicians.

Duties/Responsibilities

• 35%: Research, CAD and product development
• 25%: Team management, data analytics and other administrative
• 20%: Job planning and processing
• 10%: Machine maintenance
• 10%: Operations management

Qualifications Required

• Minimum 2 years experience with Polyjet, SLA, and FDM 3D printing including both maintaining and operating printers.
• Minimum 2 years Solidworks design experience
• Minimum 2 years project management experience
• 1-2 years of production management experience including inventory control and process optimization
• Experience with GrabCAD Print and Cura
• Experience with Magics, Mimics, Meshmixer, and Blender
• Strong data management and analytics skills
• Ability to prepare and properly dispose of hazardous materials per DEHS protocol
• Proven ability to manage small teams of students
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
