Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional teams through all phases of product development and release. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet product performance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage APQP documentation requirements for each project.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding product development and program management activities.
• Provide project status updates and risk assessments to upper management on a monthly basis.
• Support the prototyping process, including definition, sourcing, and execution.

Essential Skills:

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical engineering expertise.
• Design and project engineering skills.
• Product development life cycle knowledge.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 5+ years as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on leading projects or 3+ years of project management experience.
• Experience in the automotive or related industry.
• Project management and engineering skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with TS, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and MSA.
• Understanding of customer-specific requirements.
• Proficiency in technical print reading.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis.

Work Environment:

The role is situated in an office environment and involves supporting the full product life cycle. The position is a backfill for a previous employee and requires working cross-functionally across engineering teams. You will engage directly with leading automotive brands in a fast-paced, tier 1 automotive supplier setting.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $106000.00/yr. Strong internal company benefits.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis, MN.
