Process Engineer

Join a dynamic team where you will play an integral role in building, implementing, and training on two new systems: the Alarm Management System and Shift Log/Shift Handover Systems. Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Conduct experiments and simulations to validate process changes.

Responsibilities:

• Build, implement, and train on Alarm Management System and Shift Log/Shift Handover Systems.
• Evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Conduct experiments and simulations to validate process changes.

Essential Skills:

• Fundamental process engineering understanding.
• Data analysis and process troubleshooting.
• Effective communication with all teams in the department.
• Proficiency in PLC, SQL, and Python.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with systems such as AVEVA PI System, RtTech RtDuet System, Seeq System, Win911 System, and Asset Intellect System.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Network engineering and server upkeep knowledge.
• Ability to configure and program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related control interfaces.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues in control systems.
• Industrial plant troubleshooting experience.

Work Environment:

Work in a high-temperature production facility while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Be willing and able to wear a full-face respirator mask. The work environment emphasizes safety, integrity, and innovation, and values collaboration, hard work, and doing things the right way. The role is deeply embedded in operational excellence and is critical to plant performance.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $46.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
