Job Duties Include: Managing coating production issues, tracking and monitoring %FPY (First Pass Yield) and driving improvement plans, identifying new work standards SOPs and work instructions for efficient production, and improving work standards by utilizing time study. Drive and monitor process capability improvements by utilizing tools like Minitab (Statistical Process Control), specific to the coating process. Be a subject matter expert on process, products, technology, and equipment (like Syrus III, Boxer Antireflective coating machines, SIEM Hard Coat machines) that are used for coating processes. Access and interpret the data collected, have knowledge on the optical management systems, work on consumables saving opportunities with the global team and techno club, partner with labs operations manager/engineering GLID, operations excellence on process improvement projects, work with the engineering manager to implement and monitor the relevant KPIs (coating breakages improvement, process improvement, Cpk.Ppk stabilization), communicate openly and consistently with the regional operations director regarding the status of the lab, attend steerco meeting with the global team, CI, techno club meetings and organize progress team meeting, keep track of the actions items discussed with the teams, work with new product development, new process development with GLID (Global Lens Innovation Dept), work with PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effective Analysis) and risk analysis work on training with the production teams, work value stream mapping and identify the inefficiencies in regarding to coating center to improve the lead time and process time with the equipment should have knowledge on calculating OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Implement process parameter controls (PCPs) for coating equipment’s and monitor, improve process through PCPs, should be able to challenge GLID and techno club in regards to PCPs changes. $92,990.86/year. Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in industrial engineering, industrial technology and operations, industrial manufacturing, information technology or related field and 0 years of experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, industrial technology and operations, industrial manufacturing, information technology or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have some education or experience in each of the following: 1) Microsoft Excel or C programming; 2) Project management tools; 3) Lean Six Sigma; 4) Minitab & Qliksense (SPC tool), or AR Dashboard (Qlikview); 5) Process validation skills (NPI management, or FMEA); 6) Quality abide by ISO and quality improvements; and 7) Green Belt Six Sigma. Licenses required: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
