This position will efficiently perform required maintenance on all refrigeration, cooling, heating, and temperature-controlled systems in the buildings with the assistance of the offender work crew(s). Provide assistance to other building trades as needed as well as that of the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
Minimum Qualifications

2nd Class B Boiler's License with the ability to obtain a 1st Class B after the 6000 accrued operational hours has been reached
Physical Requirements
The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required for this position. These components may consist of a tuberculosis screening, commercial driver's license (CDL) drug test, and/or respirator clearance. The selected finalist may also be required to review and sign a Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for this position. For a copy of the PDA, please email Teresa Moen at teresa.moen@state.mn.us This position will require TB and Respirator screening prior to hire.
Additional Requirements
The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation. Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections' policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records. New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
