Nutrition Services Aide

Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Services Aide at our UMMC - West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN! This position is 40 hours bi-weekly, on Morning shift! Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays.

Schedule:

• Week 1 Monday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM
• Week 2 Thursday: 6:30AM-3:00PM
• Friday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM
• Saturday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM
• Sunday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
• Plates and serves food.
• Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operation procedures.
• Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Serves customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
• Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language.
• Basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
