Mechanical Engineer II

Design and manufacture automated equipment for the pharmaceutical industry and general consumer products. This role is pivotal in creating mechanical designs that align with technical, project cost, and schedule criteria. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead projects through the design phase and serve as the primary technical contact throughout manufacturing, assembly, debugging, final acceptance, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design concepts according to standards.
  • Deliver projects within budget constraints.
  • Lead and manage design teams effectively.
  • Serve as a technical expert and provide support.
  • Implement and uphold product standards.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks.
  • Experience in Machine Design and SolidWorks.
  • Strong project leadership skills, particularly in automation, packaging, and motion control.
  • 5+ years of experience with SolidWorks, Machine Design, or Automated Equipment.
  • 5+ years of experience leading project teams or in project management.
  • 5+ years of experience working with mechanisms, pneumatics, control devices, and manufacturing practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, with 3+ years' experience.
  • AS Degree with 7+ years' experience is also considered.
  • Experience in the packaging industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with motion control is an advantage.

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced with high-volume, short-duration projects averaging 6 to 10 weeks, alongside some longer projects. The role involves a mix of office/cubicle work and occasional floor troubleshooting of machines. The work culture is described as a close team environment with a laid-back atmosphere, offering good benefits and typically half days on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr. Strong Internal Benefits.
