About the Role

Our R&D engineers are tasked with designing and developing innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world. The Peripheral Interventions (PI) unit leads in minimally invasive therapies for peripheral artery disease, venous disease, vessel trauma, and cancer. Growth of the division is driven by the aging population, under-diagnosed and under-treated patient populations, heterogeneity of disease and unmet clinical need. PI offers innovations in drug-eluting technologies, clot management, embolization, and interventional oncoloy.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Use your problem-solving abilities to perform meaningful engineering work. Grow your skillset through a combination of training, hands-on experience, and mentorship. Collaborate with a cross-functional team. Have opportunities to expand your professional network. Get exposure to what it is like working in a Fortune 500 medical device company. Support prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new device concepts. Conduct experiments, collect data, and analyze results to inform design decisions. Document engineering activities and present findings to team members.

Required Qualifications:

Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams. Ability and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions. Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies.
