HR Generalist Opportunity

We are working with a client who is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team on a contract basis in the St. Paul/Cottage Grove, Minnesota area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including payroll processing, recruitment coordination, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks and bring strong interpersonal skills to support both employees and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for hourly staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and managing onboarding processes to create a smooth experience.
  • Monitor attendance, oversee leave requests, and maintain records to comply with legal and organizational policies.
  • Provide support for year-end projects and assist with related administrative tasks.
  • Address employee relations concerns, collaborating with management to foster a positive workplace environment.
  • Communicate HR policies and updates effectively, assisting employees with questions regarding benefits, payroll, and workplace procedures.
  • Utilize HR systems, such as Ceridian, to manage payroll and employee data efficiently.
  • Perform additional HR-related tasks as needed to support organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a human resources generalist role.
  • Familiarity with processing payroll, preferably in Ceridian.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a dynamic environment.
