This position is eligible for telework for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a state bordering Minnesota, you must live within 50 miles or less from the primary work location to be eligible for telework. Flexible work hours may be permitted with supervisor approval.
This position exists to provide strategic leadership for the Homelessness, Housing and Support Services Administration's (HHSSA) housing policy work. This is a leadership position in the administration with considerable decision-making authority. This position manages HHSSA housing-related initiatives, goals and strategic direction including development and implementation of policies, programs and services. This position exists to lead the administration's work on community engagement, particularly with people with lived experience, and serves as point person in partnership with legislative staff regarding legislative policy and budget proposals for the administration. This position exists to direct and lead HHSSA's work with the MN Interagency Council on Homeless and is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the goals, strategies and actions in the State Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness as they relate to HHSSA programs and services.
