Position location is flexible and may office from any branch in the USA. Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm.

OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Government Sales Support, you will assist our Fastenal locations and their Sales Specialists as they look to develop their book of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with sourcing, quoting and product cross referencing
• Assisting with vendor development and pricing negotiation when large opportunities are presented
• Assisting with government customer inquiries regarding Fastenal.com, government contracts and a variety of sales topics
• Assisting with customer requests and connecting them with local sales teams
• Assisting with usage reports, account linking and tax issues
• Contributing to the growth and improvement of the government sales department

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• Possess or are working towards a Business related degree OR have customer service experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this position is $35,000 - 60,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission. Equal Opportunity Employer
