Feedmill Office Support
Full Time – Hourly
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $16.13 - $22.58 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
Purpose of Position
This person is responsible for record keeping of ingredients received and used, daily mill production and shipment reports, and entry of feed orders for the feed mill. This person is the primary contact for people calling or visiting the mill.
Job Responsibilities
- Reconcile quantity and cost of daily receipts for each ingredient.
- Review all feed production for previous day. Reconcile cost & quantity differences and enter required information into the M-Tech and Red River Software.
- Review all shipment records for previous day. Reconcile differences and enter required information into M-Tech.
- Assemble and input feed orders in M-Tech timely and accurately.
- Maintain formula file in M-Tech and hard copies for all feeds.
- Maintain feeding programs and complete history of all flocks being fed.
- Provide backup when mill manager is away from the mill.
- Mail and record information related to feed and ingredient samples sent to lab.
- Assist Breeder Division as assigned.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have proficient computer skills, specifically Excel.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Must be detail orientated and organized.
- Must work well independently and with a team.
- Must meet current Live Production Biosecurity requirements.
- Be able to read, write and communicate in the English Language
