Position Summary: You will work with a mentor in the R&D Sustaining Engineering team to develop and test current and emerging designs related to medical devices used by radiologists and interventional cardiologists. Students will have the opportunity to gain experience in circuit design, test development and execution, component and assembly analysis, schematic capture and printed circuit board layout, prototype building/testing, technical writing, and engineering support for projects.
Training to be Provided: Students will be exposed to working with various operations, product development and R&D departments within the Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) organization. They will learn key requirements which need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Additionally, our interns and co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals.
Undergraduates entering their third or fourth year OR graduate students enrolled in an electrical, systems, biomedical, or computer engineering. Experience in the following areas is preferred: Circuit design, analysis, simulation, some software (C, C++, MATLAB, Labview), schematic capture, prototyping skills (soldering, enclosures, and wiring).
