Electrical Sustaining Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Sustaining Engineer to join our Electrical and Controls team. This position will ensure the performance, reliability, and ongoing production of electrical subsystems in our product by addressing issues, optimizing designs, managing component obsolescence, and implementing improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Resolve technical issues, implement design changes, and perform continuous improvements to existing products
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and troubleshoot production problems
  • Identify and qualify alternate components to ensure continuous production
  • Demonstrated experience developing control systems and algorithms
  • Use lab equipment and debugging tools to diagnose and resolve product issues
  • Perform verification and validation testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance of the components
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including engineering project leads, project management, and marketing, to support solutions delivered to our customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience using lab electrical and debugging tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Pay Transparency: nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $62,900.00 - $116,900.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
