Director of ATM Operations

Wells Fargo is seeking a Director of ATM Operations within the banking operations organization. This role will define the roadmap for ATM service and support and ensure initiatives are aligned to the strategic direction. This role will also provide executive oversight and coordinates transparently with Banking Operations, our vendors, and within Wells Fargo and will drive service and support execution aligned with the firm's strategic vision while aligning to high-level organizational objectives and operational specifications. This role will be responsible for partnering with executive leadership with our third-party vendors and Wells Fargo Operations and Technology to deliver on ATM service and support. The position requires deep ATM vendor experience, operations experience with both strategic and tactical skills, and executive presence for negotiations and communications. The role the ideal candidate will need to analyze data and make business decisions, break down complex matters to understandable terms, facilitation of negotiations, executive level presentations, manage relationships with internal and external partners, and the ability to lead strategically while also being able to understand the tactical execution of data and processes within operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish relationships, routines, metrics, and deliverables to monitor and track ATM performance for reporting purposes. Create status reports on results, efficiencies, and opportunities.
  • Form partnerships with the vendors, LOBs, strategic sourcing, risk, and legal to drive best in class services, pricing negotiations, and optimal processing.
  • Assess program interdependencies, frame complex business decisions, and understand business/technology tradeoffs allowing transparency to Executive leadership and regulators.
  • Deliver executive oversight and coordinated transparency through networking, presentations, and report out to Executive leadership and regulators.
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development within the Operations management functional area.
  • Manage relationships and expectations of key organizational stakeholders to include executive leadership, operations leadership, technology, third parties, Risk, Regulatory, Finance, Group Portfolio Delivery, Enterprise Change-Management, Controls and Compliance.
  • Frame complex business decisions in plain English to define program interdependencies including business/technology tradeoffs providing transparency to Executive leadership and regulators.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of ATM Industry, Operations, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Seasoned senior leader demonstrating progressive responsibility in leadership positions with strong customer & ATM industry leadership including operational experience.
  • Experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environments.
  • Experience building and delivering roadmaps, inclusive of people, process, analytics, reporting, systems, and technology.
  • Experience building cross functional teams to drive toward a common goal and deliver high performance results.
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization, create a strong collaborative environment, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas across Wells Fargo.
  • Effective relationship management and the ability to influence and create an environment that fosters collaboration and credible challenge across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; effective in communication across variety of audiences and constituencies, including executive management.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts so that they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions.
  • Ability to understand operational impacts of technical decisions; able to translate to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Background and passion for talent development and models the value of an inclusive workplace.

  • Effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skill that is execution-focused and results oriented.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 29% of the time.

Salary Ranges: $185,000 - $300,000 - Minneapolis, MN
