Urology Quality Intern

This position will start off at our Minnetonka, MN facility but will be transferred to our Maple Grove, MN facility. We will consider qualified applicants of all ages who are starting (or restarting) their careers. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three-four days per week. Relocation and housing assistance may be available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. About the Role

As a Design Quality Assurance (DQA) Engineering Intern, your role is critical in ensuring patient safety and quality of care. This role will apply the directives of design controls supporting product development, design changes, regulatory and standards compliance, and corrective and preventive actions in Urology division (BPH Treatment) - Minnetonka facility. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, and inspire people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting product sustaining issues
  • Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues
  • Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team
  • Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set
  • Update and maintain product risk management tools (i.e. Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree, FMEAs)
  • Provide quality and compliance input to project teams for project decisions and deliverables (i.e., Design Change Analysis, Design Inputs, Design Outputs, Test Methods, Design Reviews, Design V&V, Usability Testing, SW Validation, Process Validation, and Labeling)

Required Qualifications:

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Pursing a degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, materials engineering, or Industrial engineering
  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th
  • Experience collaborating on an engineering project in school or in a professional environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Minnetonka/Maple Grove Boston Scientific Corporate location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
