Courthouse Compensation Expected 2025 Hiring Range: $23.25 - $24.78 per hour ($48,360.00 - $51,542.40 annually), depending on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity. Full Range: $23.25 - $30.01 per hour ($48,360.00 - $62,420.80 annually), with the potential for additional longevity-based pay.

General Definition of Work: Performs work providing customer service and administrative support for the Finance and Property Services Division, including processing driver's licenses, passport applications, vital records (birth and death certificates) and marriage licenses, processing property tax payments and records, providing general customer service, assisting with election administration, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates/technical degree and moderate experience in customer support services or processing driver's licenses or passport applications preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications: Meet State of Minnesota requirements for driver's license agents within six months of hire OR Obtain U.S. Department of State passport acceptance certification within six months of hire.
Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements and Activity: This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires walking and sitting and occasionally requires reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions.
Sensory Requirements: Work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound.
Sensory Utilization: Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts and observing general surroundings and activities.
Environmental Conditions: Work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
