This job posting will be used to fill multiple Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Land Management student worker positions for the summer of 2026. Positions will assist and provide support to engineering offices throughout the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) by performing pre-engineering work as assigned and directed by the hiring supervisor. Students will gain hands-on transportation work experience. Examples of assignments may include construction, surveying, design, project management, bridge maintenance, materials, environmental stewardship, water resources, hydraulics, and traffic. (A valid driver's license is required for some positions)

Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must be an undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil, Construction, Environmental, Geo or Structural Engineering OR Land Management.
Student must be taking two (2) or more classes per semester. Any lesser credit load shall be treated as a semester off. You will be asked to complete an education verification form prior to employment. The program is open to all qualified applicants. Members of diverse groups are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
Students completing their junior year, but all college levels encouraged to apply. GPA of 3.0 or higher
Physical Requirements: Varies based on position and type of work. If work is physical in nature a pre-employment physical may be required.
