Business Development Associate

Alliant Insurance is hiring a Business Development Associate for our Employee Benefits 65+ division with Transitions Benefit Group office! In office: 290 E Main St, Canton, GA 30114, open to remote candidates with 2+ years of experience Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST Compensation is a combination of hourly rate + commission

Responsible for providing support services to promote the company's product portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the company's product portfolio with specialization in product(s) assigned.
  • Makes outbound calls to recruit agents to set appointments for Marketing Consultants.
  • Handles 100+ recruiting calls per day and 2 hours of talk time with agents and agencies.
  • Refers agents to Marketing Consultants based on additional informational needs, particularly for products outside the scope of the position.
  • Utilizes and updates Hubspot for recruiting calls and email sequencing.
  • Updates and maintains Contact Management System information in accordance with policies and procedures; Updates and maintains task list.
  • Recruits agents to participate in special marketing opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of the business by serving on relevant internal and external committees.
  • Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

  • High School, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Three (3) or more years of General insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service or call center)

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of insurance services industries and specific current knowledge of product lines assigned to the marketer
  • Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices and terminology
  • Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers
  • Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts
  • Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, telephone system, etc
  • Skill in the use of time management and organization skills
  • Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public
  • Skill in project management
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft/Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook software preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a constructive manner
  • Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies
  • Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, make and execute decisions
