Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical and electrical assembly of custom-designed equipment.
• Conduct field wiring, alignment, and setup of automated solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Utilize hand tools and read SolidWorks prints for mechanical tasks.
• Perform electrical panel wiring/building and understand schematics.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and address any technical issues.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in automation, engineering, assembly, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Experience in machine building and understanding automated equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Automated Systems & Robotics, or equivalent preferred.
• Hands-on experience with power and hand tools, specialized tooling, and mechanics.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well both individually and in teams.
• Willingness to travel by air or car (estimated 10% maximum).
• Authorization to work permanently in the United States.

Work Environment:

This is an onsite role located on the manufacturing floor. You will be part of a small start-up company that has grown to about 50 employees in just three years. The team designs, engineers, builds, and installs custom automated machines for the medical device and life sciences industries. The work environment is collaborative and innovative, providing a unique opportunity to grow within the company.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
