Position Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve challenging operational issues in a complex enterprise environment that runs fleets of server instances interacting with multiple services across several AWS regions.
• Develop and implement unique solutions to service issues tailored to our customers' individual needs for application deployment.
• Build and maintain CloudFormation templates, Chef cookbooks, and scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes.
• Build utilities and tools that facilitate safe, high-speed, wide-scale operations.
• Create tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles for AWS customers.
• Resolve critical, highly complex customer problems that span multiple AWS services.
• Drive customer communication during critical events.

Position Requirements:

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, as a Systems Administrator, or in a related occupation.
• Employer will accept a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a master's degree and one year of experience.
• Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) configuring, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems, including cloud virtualization, distributed networks, and co-location; 2) Linux or Windows Operating System support; 3) networking, including deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, and TCP/IP; and 4) programming with at least one of the following programming languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
